These failures are becoming fairly common. I'd like to avoid them with this quick fix, but leave the bug open for a better long-term solution (split into more tests, shorten, optimize?).

(In reply to OrangeFactor Robot from comment #9) > 5 automation job failures were associated with this bug in the last 7 days. > > Repository breakdown: > * mozilla-beta: 3 > * try: 1 > * mozilla-inbound: 1 The beta and try failures were on Firefox 50, without the extra timeout (comment 6)...so perhaps a time out after 5 minutes is not surprising. The inbound failure looks like a different issue: it appears test_URIs hung after about 8 seconds. 10-20 14:12:05.381 8007 8007 I Gecko : TEST-INFO | test_URIs.js | [run_test : 552] Bug 662981: ACSII - comparing http://example.org/xenia?x and http://example.org/xenia?x ... 10-20 14:12:13.111 8007 8007 I Gecko : TEST-INFO | test_URIs.js | [do_test_uri_with_hash_suffix : 376] making sure caller is using suffix that starts with '#' Then nothing more in logcat. The test times out after 10 minutes: [task 2016-10-20T21:12:03.454457Z] 21:12:03 INFO - TEST-START | netwerk/test/unit/test_URIs.js [task 2016-10-20T21:22:03.455476Z] 21:22:03 WARNING - TEST-UNEXPECTED-TIMEOUT | netwerk/test/unit/test_URIs.js | Test timed out [task 2016-10-20T21:22:03.455566Z] 21:22:03 INFO - TEST-INFO took 600000ms

The leave-open keyword is there and there is no activity for 6 months. :selenamarie, maybe it's time to close this bug?
