Step to Reproduce: 1) grab a nightly (the one I have is 2002030106 linux build) 2) goto to the attached testcase.html Expected Result: as in attachment snapshot-0.9.8.png, which is how 0.9.8 displays the same page. Actual Result: as in attachment snapshot-2002030106.png, using build 2002030106. Note: so far I only seen this happen in pages with GB characters. Not sure about big5...
seems that problem occurs if the chinese characters have characters like "『", "─", "《", etc directly before them.

I didn't see it on linux RH7.2, what kind of system are you using? thanks!
I normally use pcf fonts, just tried to use gbsn00lp.ttf. Similar thing, except that this time the missing characters occupy spaces. (see attachment)

OK, I don't see this display problem in browser, but I do see the similar problem when view page source. Confirming... I guess it's probably related to bug 127129. cc shanjian You screen shot in comment #2 is showing fine, that means it's a regression problem since 0.9.8? One thing that I don't understand is: in the problem screen shot showing TradChinese, and your test case is written by SimpChinese.

it's normal - in my computer, because I am using a GB font with trad glyphs. :)

I don't see it on 03-06 trunk build, I guess it's the same problem as in bug 127129 (checked-in on yesterday). Reporter: could you please try it on latast build? thanks!

Since it is suspected that this was fixed by bug 127129 I am closing this bug. Please reopen as appropiate.
