[Affected versions]: - Nightly 50.0a1 [Affected Platforms]: - Windows 7 x64, 8.1 x64, 10 x64 - Ubuntu 14.04 x64 [Prerequisites]: - Set the "print.use_simplify_page" pref to true [Steps to reproduce]: 1. Go to http://www.nationalgeographic.com/ 2. Click on an article from the page. 3. From Browser Menu Bar go to File->Print Preview and click Simplify Page checkbox. 4. Observe the National Geographic logo from the last page. [Expected result]: The National Geographic logo should keep the same size as the one seen without simplifying the page. [Actual result]: The National Geographic logo is displayed on the last page, but it is much larger than the one rendered without simplifying the page. [Notes]: - Attached a screen recording of the issue.
This also affects Reader Mode in general. If you repeat steps 1 and 2, and then click on the Reader Mode button in the URL bar, you can see the logo is quite large in the footer of the page. Moving to the right component.
Component: Printing → Reader Mode
Summary: Pages printed from National Geographic with Simplify Page show a much larger logo instead of the normal one → Pages from National Geographic show a much larger logo instead of the normal one in Reader Mode
The image is actually just really big (>500px wide). It's print-only in the CSS, so it's not the same one you see on the page, and reader mode doesn't have the original print CSS from the page anymore when printed with 'simplify page'. So on the whole, I don't think this is really fixable. I also don't think it's hugely important. So I'm going to mark wontfix.
