User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:47.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/47.0 Build ID: 20160606000000 Steps to reproduce: - using opensuse 13.1 64bit - update thunderbird with yast to 45.2 (from last previous official, guess 45.1) - start Thunderbird - open new mail Actual results: - The previous default font (DeJaVu sans) in the create-mail-window is replaced by arial, which doesn't exist in linux - Editing the preferences, you will see, that there is no default font anymore in tab "create email" Expected results: - keeping the default font of the prior installation in the preferences - using it when creating new mails

Do you still see this when using a current version?
