From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.8+)
Gecko/20020226
BuildID: 2002022603
After explorer.exe crashes (or is killed), open Mozilla windows do not respond
properly to the Windows-M key combo which is supposed to minimize all windows
and show the desktop.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Mozilla, very that Windows-M will minimize the browser window
2. Kill explorer.exe (kill from the reskit or pskill from sysinternals will
work). Explorer.exe will automaitcally re-run itself.
3. Try Windows-M.
Actual Results: Mozilla will not minimize with the rest of the windows. It
does, however, lose focus.
Expected Results: Mozilla should minimize with the rest of the desktop windows.
Note that new Mozilla windows opened after the crash and re-run of explorer.exe
will minimize on Windows-M. I guess explorer.exe sends out some kind of
notification when it restarts that Mozilla isn't handling properly?

confirming with win2k build 20020301..
I saw this after i killed Explorer the 2x with taskinfo2002.
I can minimize all windows manually or use my "Show Desktop" Icon in my taskbar
but Windows-M fails...

This means that it was logged against the old Mozilla suite and we cannot determine that it's still valid for the current SeaMonkey suite. Because of this, we are setting it to an UNCONFIRMED state.
If you can confirm that this report still applies to current SeaMonkey 2.x nightly builds, please set it back to the NEW state along with a comment on how you reproduced it on what Build ID, or if it's an enhancement request, why it's still worth implementing and in what way.
If you can confirm that the report doesn't apply to current SeaMonkey 2.x nightly builds, please set it to the appropriate RESOLVED state (WORKSFORME, INVALID, WONTFIX, or similar).
If no action happens within the next few months, we move this bug report to an EXPIRED state.

same results for ms-word viewer. the key is passed as an M, as if windows key were not pressed. same with other keys, and with thunderbird trunk.
