[Note]: - It seems that this issue affects only latest Nightly [Affected versions]: - latest Nightly 50.0a1 (2016-07-13) [Affected platforms]: - Mac OS X 10.11 - Mac OS X 10.10.5 [Steps to reproduce]: 1. Launch Firefox 2. Open several tabs 3. Choose one tab, place the cursor to its top border area and drag it horizontally [Expected result]: - Either the tab or the window is dragged [Actual result]: - Both the tab and the window are dragged (See the screencast https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0nYKG6PRiCcVFdNMEh2a21NVnc/view?usp=sharing). The tab dragging is jerky and imprecise [Regression range]: - This is a regression * Last good revision: d2c01d77b9d0 (2014-09-17) * First bad revision: 426497473505 (2014-09-18) * Pushlog: https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=d2c01d77b9d0&tochange=426497473505

How does it both affect only latest nightly and is the regression range almost 2 years ago? Are you saying this doesn't happen on beta, or on aurora if you disable the developer edition theme, or something?

Yes, indeed, this bug also affects - latest Aurora 49.0a2 (2016-07-13) - 48.0b7 build1 (20160711002726) - 47.0.1 build1 (20160623154057)

On a 48 build before bug 1249818 I can't reproduce this at all. Can you clarify how you're reproducing on 47? Are you selecting background tabs or foreground tabs? Is this a lodpi or hidpi mac? Does it matter?

In the case of builds with a 5px dead space (e.g. Fx 47 or Fx 48 before bug 1249818), I selected a foreground tab (see the screencast https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0nYKG6PRiCcbUtVak0zTEt1bDQ/view - at 00:28 is visible the selected area) > Is this a lodpi or hidpi mac? Does it matter? The station I've used is a lodpi one: iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013), 21,5-inch (1920 x 1080) display, Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB graphics. Also, I managed to reproduce the issue on a hidpi Mac (Retina, 13-inch 2560 x 1600, Early 2015, Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB) - this means the resolution does not matter.

Moving to p3 because no activity for at least 1 year(s). See https://github.com/mozilla/bug-handling/blob/master/policy/triage-bugzilla.md#how-do-you-triage for more information
Priority: P2 → P3
Severity: normal → S3

I am not able to reproduce the issue on Mac 12.6 using Firefox build 131.0.
