Details

This happens when the side bar contains more than one tab: if you hide the
active side bar tab, the content of the next tab that gets to the front is not
drawn.

Build ID: 2002030116 (0.9.9 branch)

Reproducibility: always

Steps to reproduce:
- open the side bar in the navigator window
- have at least 2 side bar tabs shown, lets say "Search" and "What's Related".
- Hide the active tab through context menu or Tabs-menu (lets say "What's Related")
- now another side bar tab is active (in our case the "Search" tab)

Actual results: The content of the new activated tab ("Search") is not shown.
Expected results: When a side bar tab is hidden, the next side bar tab that
comes to the front should display its content.

This also happens with messenger, address book and composer.
confirming...I see this also...with 3/1 trunk...

Wouldn't this be caused by bug 127113 ?

(and confirming on linux trunk cvs 2002030422)

This case should be fixed by bug 127973.
Depends on: 127973
Changing summary so that it doesn't suggest that all inactive panels should refresh.
Summary: Side bar doesn't refresh if a side tab is hidden → New panel doesn't refresh when the active panel is being hidden
Works for me with a current branch build (2002-04-29-1.0.0) on Win2K.
