1287079 - Playout won't start on YouTube/Facebook/Vimeo

Since quite recently (yesterday or maybe the day before), video playout does not seem to work. On YouTube (both embedded or on the site), I see buffer being filled (nothing in the devtools Console), but playout won't start (after a while, a suggestion is shown to "restart the device"). With Vimeo, similar issues. I also encountered this problem on Facebook, but not sure whether that video was hosted on Facebook itself or on Vimeo.

I'm using OS X 10.11.5 on a mid-2014 rMBP with Intel video.

Restarted in safe mode, and it worked again. Restarted without safe mode, still works. Quite confused now, since I'm fairly sure I tried restarting Fx (but without safe mode) before.

The Facebook video I was trying to play earlier is https://www.facebook.com/rutger.bregman/videos/1819937761569019/. I can now play it, but if I pause it, let my laptop go to sleep, then wake it up and try to resume, it doesn't. Reloading allows it to start again.
