I have a picture attached to a mail. It is no problem to save it when I choose
the save command from the context menu on the attachment list. When I do the
same in the mail window on the displayed picture, the function is not working.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a mail with a attached picture
2. Right click the mouse on the picture
3. Choose the save command

Actual Results: Nothing

Expected Results: The Save as... dialog should popup

Some mails show only <Part 1.2> on the attachment list and saving theis part
gives the base64 code. Then the only possibility to save it would be on the picture.

To my understanding you can not Save As - when right click on the image from the
Message Pane (at the bottom of the 3-pane window), right?
There is Save Image menu item, which works.
The summary of the bug states that "mail attachment context menu no function",
but you say that in the attachment area it works.
Would you please clarify the issue? We have multiple bugs for Context menu.
I think this is a duplicate bug ... can't find the real one though - anyone?
I can confirm this bug in 1.0 RC1 (2002041711) Linux, Modern.
But it's not the problem with 3pane (as suggested in comment #1) - it's in
standalone message view.
Right-click on attached image brings up the context menu. In that menu nothing
happens when we select:
View Image
Save Image As...
But the Copy Image Location works fine.

The context menu in standalone does not change too much - whether we click on
image, text or link its display is basically the same. When we right-click
outside a link then 'Copy link location' just does nothing. So I suspect that
somehow 'Save Image' always thinks there is no image to save - like we were
clicking outside an image.

BTW, that menu is a mess:
- different from 3pane menus
- not much of a context
- image and link items in bottom half mixed together...
Sorry for that last comment - the fact that this context menu is a mess is
tracked in bug 137141 - and possibly many others...
Markus Breitinger, Adam Macznik: Is this bug still a problem for you? The
context menu is working OK for me, 1.3 Final and 1.4RC1, Windows 2000.
