Is it intended that the autoclassify panel be selected by default for sheriffs? Because that appears to be the behaviour on stage. I suspect this behaviour might interfere with the sheriffing workflow, unless I'm missing something.

Yes. Using the autoclassification feature is expected to be part of the sheriffing workflow.

Reverted on master (previously it was only reverted on the stage/production branches, so could have been easily accidentally re-enabled on the next deploy).
