I tested this with the latest nightly yesterday on OSX. Just open up something from bloomberg (http://www.bloomberg.com/europe) and check the Activity Monitor.

The release build is not affected, I wonder if this is e10s or just a regression, I have not tested beta yet.

Seems like something related to plugins, since shockwave player is active. Also, I disabled all my add-ons for this test.
Does Activity Monitor attribute subprocess (content and/or plugin process) CPU usage to Firefox? This profile appears to be just from the main Firefox process and isn't helpful.

Doesn't sound like this is something we're likely to prioritize. It could well be a specific advertisement or content.
