User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:47.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/47.0
Build ID: 20160609214634

Steps to reproduce:

I attached a 21.5" monitor to my 15.6" laptop with VGA. I put Firefox on the biggest screen and click maximize. When maximized, the search-suggestion list appears on the wrong screen. Firefox doesn't necessary needs to be on full screen.

Another thing that often occurs. Is that the search-suggestion list appears in the middle of my big screen when Firefox is maximized.

I'm using Linux 17.3 Cinnamon.

Actual results:

Search-suggestion rules appear on wrong screen or on the middle of the screen.
(See attachement)

Expected results:

The search-suggestion rule should appear 1) on the right screen 2) below the URL-bar.

Is it just the search suggestions that appear on the wrong screen, or also other popup menus?

(I'm not reproducing here.)

I don't have hardware to run multi-screen setup with Linux.

Reporter do you still see this bug with latest builds of Firefox/Nightly?

Getting the same issue, also multi-monitor setup. Ubuntu 16.04 / Cinnamon 2.8.6-1ubuntu1 / Firefox 54.0
It's also autocomplete/search suggestions/etc. But it always appears in the correct position the first time it shows up, so it's less annoying for autocomplete.

Probably, manifesting itself in a different drop down. I've seen bug 1022241, but extremely rarely; like months of usage between occurrences.

Possibly fixed in Firefox 60
Actually, nevermind, still an issue.
