The biggest win there would be adding text to the icon, without taking more space.
Marlon, could you expand on this explanation a bit?
um... sure, please provide lots of pictures and user studies and explain how
this will be discussed among pixel jockies and whatever other public forums
mozilla.org used to use to discuss ui changes.
we already have text for the buttons, and it's possible for a skin to change
the behavior to display them inline.
perhaps all of these bugs should be sent to UID where they belong for
consideration before people randomly implement them.

Ur, Timeless, don't be so harsh. People from anywhere other than Netscape don't
tend to need to provide lots of pictures and user studies and explain how
this will be discussed among pixel jockies and whatever other public forums,
and there's no particular reason for Netscape being held to a higher standard
than anyone else. It is, however, pretty obvious that putting the items in the
component bar inside a menu would make them harder to get to, while any
improvement in discoverability would be marginal at best. Verified wontfix.
