First time FxA sign in and pending email verfification is confusing and makes flow feel broken

Details

0. install Fx for iOS (clean install not an existing profile)
1. on iOS click history button view
2. click on 'synced devices'
3. click on 'sign in' button
4. enter your existing FxA user:pw

actual: Fxa (iframe) window closes and it sits on the original 'sign in' screen. Clicking on sign in takes you to 'settings'

expected: the screen should say - 'pending email verification'
