User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64; rv:47.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/47.0.1 Waterfox/47.0.1
Build ID: 20160705170440
Steps to reproduce:
I filled out this page, like it asks:
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/about/legal/fraud-report/
Except, in the URL * field, instead of putting in a short URL like " https://eekiewanknews.net ", I enter the entire webpage address. Example:
https://eekiewanknews.net/6001645474346/99c5e25d9afe093c7b6841ade219da80.html
Also, I'm not sure that it made a difference, but I attached a very tiny (3 KB) attachment (per instructions).
Actual results:
When submitted, the page reloads and gives an error:
"Oh Noes! An error occurred. Try back later!"
Later, I tried again (and a third time), and it still gives the same error.
Expected results:
I just tried again. Except, this time, I used a short URL that only points to the domain (not the actual page): " https://eekiewanknews.net ". Also, I left out the attachment. This time, when submitted, it completed successfully:
" Your report has been sent.
Thank you for your help. It’s our community that makes us great. "

I can't seem to replicate this using the steps above (the full URL works ok for me). Can you please try again and see if you can nail down how to reproduce it?

Sorry, maybe I should have reopened instead of create a new report? But the fraudulent site I tried to report on "Protect the Fox" was taken down before I could try to recreate this error again. Now the same thing is back, but with a different domain name. Also, my steps to reproduce, like my assumptions were incorrect. See Bug 1294409: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1294409
