All plugins disappeared except for 3. New tabs blank and unable to load page. receive the following. Unexpected response from server Firefox doesn't know how to communicate with the server. Check to make sure your system has the Personal Security Manager installed. This might be due to a non-standard configuration on the server. Expected results: All certs and devices available.

This sounds like a broken upgrade -- for some reason the security libraries are not being loaded or aren't found. I recommend installing again and contacting https://support.mozilla.org/ for further help in recovering any files if that doesn't help.

Downloaded the latest version 48. So far the upgrade is working correctly. Appears they fixed the "upgrade" issue within version 47.x with reference to the security libraries not being loaded or aren't found.
