Details

THe message sorting problems in the Mozilla mail client seem to be getting worse. If you sort by Label, the labeled messages are sorted properly, but unread messages appear at the opposite bookend, and read messages are now appearing in random order. Until a few builds ago, the unread and read (but not labeled) messages were appearing in reverse-chronological order, but were at least consistent within themselves. Example: high-priority label lesser priority label read message January 01 read message January 15 read message January 30 unread message February 15 But now, it is even more mixed up. Example: high-priority label lesser priority label read message January 01 unread message February 15 read message January 30 read message January 15 What we need is a secondary sort, by date and time, which would be the intuitive, logical result expected. The way it *should* be: high-priority label lesser priority label unread message February 15 read message January 30 read message January 15 read message January 01 I cannot believe that 0.9.9 is going to be released with such a glaring, obvious UI problem in place. There are similar bugs that have been filed for some time, but no action is being taken on them... is anyone working on this at all? Could we at least get some kind of acknowledgement that there is a major bug in the message sorting, and that it will be addressed? I know you guys are busy (so am I) and I don't want to sound rude or pushy, but it seems like alot of far more trivial bugs are being given attention over this one. -Chance
