Moving around the browser window will cause alignment issues with the new version of the awesome bar. I've ran into this several times on the following platforms: * macOS 10.11.6 x64 - Reproduced * Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS VM - Reproduced STR: (a bit tricker to reproduce under Ubuntu) * launch the latest version of m-c * move a portion of fx so it's not visible (spills over off the screen) * type a search term into the awesome bar, you'll notice it's not aligned correctly

There are two bugs here: (1) The popup doesn't move with the window when it's open and you move the window. (2) When the window is partially off-screen, the popup is misaligned when it's opened. Is that only on Linux? I can't reproduce on OS X. Yes? Actually I can't reproduce either problem on OS X. The popup should close once you click outside it (for example to start dragging around the window). Is that not happening?

(In reply to Drew Willcoxon :adw from comment #2) > (1) The popup doesn't move with the window when it's open and you move the > window. Once you click outside the awesome bar, it closes without any problems. So that's definitely not an issue. > (2) When the window is partially off-screen, the popup is misaligned when > it's opened. Is that only on Linux? I can't reproduce on OS X. Yup, that's correct. When the fx window is partially moved off-screen, the awesome bar that pops up will be misaligned. This is easily reproducible on macOS but a lot tricker on Ubuntu. I've added a short video of the problem being reproduced with macOS 10.11.16: * https://youtu.be/j8DgB_Sjx-o (used the same STR from comment#0) ** build used: fx51.0a1, buildId: 20160815030201, changeset: 6e191a55c3d2 I can't seem to reproduce this on Ubuntu anymore, but originally, the awesome bar started appearing somewhere in the middle of the browser rather than the intended location at the top. MacOS seems to be the only one that's affected by the misalignment when the screen is positioned off-screen, but there's definitely a bug where the awesome bar suddenly starts appearing somewhere in the middle rather than at the top. I've only seen this happen twice under Ubuntu. I'll try getting some STR for the Ubuntu problem.
