As we are killing Hello, we should remove it from this page asap:
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/products/
Romain, you probably want to add this in the shut-down plan
Flags: needinfo?(rtestard)
Mozorg pages are already in the shut-down plan. Also, (as far as I know), this has not been announced officially yet, so marking as confidential.
Group: mozilla-employee-confidential
It is public now:
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/49.0beta/releasenotes/
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/hello-status

I don't think we need to hide this bug, right?

I'm not sure if a line in the beta release notes is all we have in mind for a public announcement (at least I hope not).
Also, for clarify in this bug, there are more pages to remove Hello from than /firefox/products/ (there was an internal audit some weeks ago).
it is not :) we have in product notifications, hello website, etc.

Website notifications on mozorg are not due to go "live" until Aug 16 (which is when the public announcement was due to be, aafaik).
Fwiw, some folks are already asking about this on Twitter (no real announcement)

NI to Winston who has a plan ready which covers this already although I'm not sure if these tasks have bugs already. Winston can you please confirm?
Flags: needinfo?(rtestard) → needinfo?(wbowden)
The pages themselves are not due to be removed yet (once Firefox 49 is released?). Right now, all we're doing is showing the notification to users (see bug 1289434). Bugs for removal of pages will be filed in due time (we could even use this one).
The marketing plan is as follows as I understand it:
Aug 15/16th
--- IN-PRODUCT CHANGES: we release a Go Faster update that brings in-product notification (Hello panel info message informing of upcoming change (bug 1284423)
--- MOZILLA.ORG CHANGES: Remove Hello icon from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/features/ and https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/products/ (may be earlier based on Winston's input) and add a message to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/hello/ letting users know that it will be discontinued soon - bug 1289434 (may be earlier based on Winston's input)

September 13th
--- IN-PRODUCT CHANGES: FF49 released without Firefox Hello
--- MOZILLA.ORG CHANGES: Removal of product site with redirect to Hello SUMO page

The audit was done on bug 1285297, marking as a dependency.

I'll arrange a catch-up with Winston and Alex hopefully today to make sure we're all in sync for this.
Depends on: 1285297
Aug 15/16th
--- MOZILLA.ORG CHANGES: Remove Hello icon from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/features/ and https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/products/

As far as I'm aware this is not scheduled in our next sprint, only the notification for the Hello product page (which both of the above pages link to).

If this needs to change, you should speak to jbertsch (cc'ing here).
