129278 - Browser freezes if selected as default browser

I have been using the latest builds of the trunk but wished to try out the 0.99
builds. I downloaded 20020305. Upon install, it asks if you wish to make Mozilla
your default browser. I chose yes. The focus shifted to another window and
Mozilla did not refresh its own window either in the background or when I made
it the foreground window. Mozilla was unusable thereafter and I had to force
quit it. This happened a number of times (since each time thereafter, it first
asks you if you wish to make it the default browser). I even deleted the profile
data from Documents and Settings, thinking it might be a conflict w/ previous
profile data--to no avail.

Finally, I started the browser again, chose "no" on the default browser dialog
box, and Mozilla worked fine (albeit with that shifting focus still).

Therefore, I believe there is a hang in the browser if you choose "yes" to make
Mozilla the default browser.

Reporter: Can you delete the directory Mozilla where is installed, then
reinstall Mozilla? Does Mozilla still hang?

and you have to reopen a bug, reopen 116549.
