Doesn't work in old versions of FF and some players.
ah so a file that didn't use to play but now playing is ... bad somehow?

The playback is still broken, FF displays the total duration but the seekbar goes to the end without displaying anything.
My bad.. this video plays here on linux ubuntu 16.04... wrongly assumed it worked everywhere.

video isn't broken, it's yuv444 which the Windows h264 decoder can't handle.
