From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:0.9.8) Gecko/20020204 BuildID: 20020204 If I try to use the keyboard to access all functionality of the mail application, I run into severe trouble. Many settings do not seem to be accessable without using the pointer device, many items are not accessable with the normal (operating system wide) methods. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the Mozilla Mail application 2. Press the "TAB" key twice to reach the "Advanced" button next to the "Subject or Recipient contains" edit box 3. -> "Space" key does not work to activate the button (as with every other button under Windows; this seems to be a general problem of Mozilla!), instead the input focus is transferred to the mail list view 4. Press "Ctrl-M" to start a new mail 5. The TAB key swithes between the "From" field, the "Mail address" field, "Subject" and "Body" 6. -> You never can reach the "Type of address" field left of the "To" field (as you could in Netscape" - you _have_ to use the mouse to define if an address is a "To", "BC" or "CC"... 7. Use the TAB key to switch to the "Mail address" field and type an address, then press enter to start the next address. Repeat this four times 8. Try to get back to the first address using the TAB key; it is not possible! 9. -> As soon as more email addresses than displayable lines are listed, the input focus switches to the "From" field when the user presses "Shift-TAB" while currenlty staying in the first _displayed_ address field. In the same way the focus switches from the "From" field to the first _displayed_ address item when the user presses TAB (instead of scrolling the list of addresses and setting the focus to the _first_ address of the list) 10. -> The same problem occurs in the last _displayed_ address line: if the user presses the TAB key, the focus switches to the "Subject" field instead of scrolling down the list of addresses to the following item 11. Additional Note: Netscape allowed to enter several email addresses into one line, separated by "comma" or "sapce" (without surrounding quotation marks); Mozilla just keeps this (often invalid) string and interprets it as an email address... Is this done by design?
Alexander, please read the bug reporting instructions - in particular only mention one issue per bug report. As regards 1,2,3 you can use return to open the advanced dialog window. As regards 4,5,6 etc. use shift-tab and tab to navigate around (see bug 95844)
