Looking at the logs: (https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/tinderbox-builds/mozilla-beta-win32-debug/1471497614/mozilla-beta_win7_ix-debug_test-mochitest-media-e10s-bm119-tests1-windows-build24.txt.gz) PBackground/IPC shutdown issues; probably bug 1279612 I see MainThread waiting in BackgroundImpl.cpp:1227 in ParentImpl::ShutdownBackground(), and I see a warning ("[Parent 2784] WARNING: NS_ENSURE_TRUE(maybeContext) failed") from nsThread.cpp ::Shutdown which implies that Shutdown had already been called on some thread (which may or may not be related)

IPC component is for the core IPC mechanism. For protocols/bugs specific to content processes (like PBackground) please use DOM: Content Processes.
