Consider this search: http://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/search?q=nsCycleCollector&path=.h It pops up the "enter at least 3 characters to do a search" box when you enter the form data, but the search still succeeds because router.py says the search is non-trivial if any search parameter has 3 or more characters.
