Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:48.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/48.0
Build ID: 20160811171047

Steps to reproduce:

I just installed the new FF 48 package (after having FF 47 I guess) on my Linux Mint Rosa (17.3) 64 Bit, Cinnamon throught the regular update process. Before that I killed the running FF. After installation of FF48 and a reboot (for other reasons) I wanted to start FF as usual and get the session restore dialog, but nothing happened.

Actual results:

Nothing, only the predefined homepage of Linux Mint got loaded.

Expected results:

Session restore dialog should have opened.

There is a sessionstore-backup folder in the profile, and it does contain the usual previous.js, recovery.js and recovery.bak and these seem to contain the correct data, but none of that is recognized when copied to the main profile folder, even when renaming them to sesssionstore.js. Manually calling about:sessionrestore in a new tab does start the session restore dialog, but it contains nothing.

Thanks
Oliver
