User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:48.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/48.0 Build ID: 20160728204513 Steps to reproduce: If you go to the hamburger menu > synced tab button, the synced tabs are divided by computer of origin, but the tabs are not divided by windows on that computer. Similarly, going to the hamburger menu > synced tab button > 'View Synced Tabs Sidebar' shows the synced tabs in a sidebar, separated by computers, but not by windows on that computer Again, if you type about:sync-tabs in the awesome bar, you see a page with the synced tabs, with no separation by the original windows that contain the tabs. Actual results: What I listed on the above (steps to reproduce) panel happened: in each of the three areas, the synced tabs are separated by computer of origin, but are not further divided by the original windows they are in. Expected results: Ideally, after delineation with computers, the tabs would be separated by the windows they originally were in. This allows for easier navigation, and if someone groups tabs by windows, makes it easier to find all of them quickly. I have attached some images for the proposed idea.

I can't find telemetry, but multiple windows is relatively uncommon for Firefox users and there's typically no concept of multiple windows at all on mobile devices. This would require some changes to Sync itself (the window isn't recorded), but this might be something our UX team thinks is worthwhile in the future. (Also note that about:synced-tabs is deprecated and will be removed fairly soon, but your point is still valid for the sidebar and menu)
Alex, another enhancement request worthy of consideration for the product backlog.

I also would like this feature. I open multiple firefox windows and organize my tabs in them (e.g. personal, project1, project2 ) and it would be convenient that the organization was kept when synchronizing across computers. Thank you.

Yes, please. Other session/tab managers have this separation, although they're let down by a lack of automatic cloud synchronizing, and replacement. I've still not found anything that can be set to auto-sync and live-update a browser's content on one device to another device, while the inferior competing browsers do seem to. Thanks

This could be combined with the concept of collections in Fenix, where collections may act as "windows" on mobile, and where users can see collections on desktops or on other mobile devices.

We're going to close this issue as wontfix since we don't have it in our near product plans. If we do decide to work this functionality we'll open a new issue.
