Looks like a regular OOM that was intentionally aborted.
The underlying cause for the OOM might be just about anything;
it's unlikely that layout code is the culprit.

No, it's not a regular OOM. It is same as all other jemalloc_crash crashes, which seems to be a broken heap. It crashes at
> RELEASE_ASSERT(arena->magic == ARENA_MAGIC);
