can you provide the URL of the page the issue happens?

https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/v2/yh/r/X8aJQPpjIC5.js:35 changes all the time so i re-installed mozilla 45.0.1 24/3/2016 and now seems ok
It's the URL of the script itself. We need the URL of the web site that uses the script, to reproduce the issue. which page do you open while the "script busy" issue happens?
it was facebook https://web.facebook.com/ seems to be when pages try to load Mozilla say it not responding then the error use to come up but since i delete old Mozilla and re-installed the version 45.0.1 it been fine
What's "old Mozilla" ? Do you mean that the issue happens with Firefox 47 and the issue disappears after you downgraded to Firefox 45.0.1 ?
yes that is what happened Script: https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/rs…WxT4/y4/l/en_GB/6rO2cjggRVk.js:224 this is another number from the un-responsive scripts on url https://web.facebook.com/
Summary: Script: https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/v2/yh/r/X8aJQPpjIC5.js:35 → Unresponsive script: https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/v2/yh/r/X8aJQPpjIC5.js:35 on https://web.facebook.com/

Hi Anthony, I've tried to reproduce your issue on the latest Firefox release (48.0.1) and the latest Nightly (51.0a1), but I was unable to get the unresponsive script dialog to appear. Also, in my case, going to https://web.facebook.com/ just redirects me to https://www.facebook.com/, so I'm probably missing something. Could you please give us some more details about what you were doing on the page (e.g. browsing, playing games, watching videos, live-streams) Also could you try to reproduce the issue on the latest Firefox release (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/) and on the latest Nightly (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and report your results?

Script: https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/v3/yY/r/GhV0D2qUOcb.js:14 it is like firefox just freezes wont allow you to do anything till you click continue
I have been experiencing this same problem. it has only happened since I installed the "newer" version of Firefox. It happens in Facebook when ever you try to respond to a comment or ask for "more comments". It doesn't happen all of the time, but when it does, it takes several attempts before it just continues and you can get what you are requesting. If you click on "stop script" then you can no longer click on any links on Facebook as nothing responds anymore.

still doing it on my PC since last update of ver ESR 52.9.0 last week, also it prevents any text more than 1 character in FB group comment box and it also permanently removed all add-ons, extensions, themes and even link to find more from FF. please reinstall prev version and allow me to at least find and restore my addons or I will have to move to different browser as this is NOT any kind of update that can be used for browsing. besides this lame anouance.

Hey Mitch, I'm sorry to hear you're still experiencing issues. However it's been quite some time since this particular issue was closed and there's a high chance that what you're experiencing is different than what was described in the original description.

My recommendation at this point would be to file a new issue and add as much detail as you can there. Things like operating system, what Firefox version you had before, how you updated Firefox, where the issue happens, and how it happens. That being said it also seems like you're describing two very separate issues, one in which there's slowness on Facebook and another in which all your add-ons, extensions, and themes were lost after the update.

You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
