Details
The Mac external media tests are busted. The tests are failing as well as taking a very long time to register runs completed. E.g. Mac test takes 4+ hours, while equivalent Windows test takes ~7 minutes.

Do you have any links to Treeherder results? Are these test failures for e10s only?

I've been looking at the results on Jenkins: http://pf-jenkins.qa.mtv2.mozilla.com:8080/view/mac/
I think it's all of the mac tests. I've been digging around a bit more, and it looks like they're been unhappy since the machines have been stood back up after the MTV power outage. It may be an issue with the VM running the tests (pf-mac-10-10-02, 10.252.73.211), or the VM's host, rather than the tests themselves. Attempting to run various commands on the VM takes a very long time: e.g. installing from pip takes minutes rather than seconds. My hypothesis is the performance issue is not only causing the long runs, but also the fails. I believe I'm seeing both slow CPU and network performance.
I've taken down the other, unused VM that was running on the same host and detached the remaining VM from the Jenkins cluster while I look at it. I've also restarted the VM. However, performance still seems very poor.

:drno has had a look at the machines and may have resolved performance problems. In the mean time I've disabled the failing tests. Once I've cleared some of the other test work I'm currently looking at I'll stand these tests back up and follow up.

The machines running the mac tests are now disabled as part of ongoing reworking of the external media tests. Future work on taskcluster (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1296995) may see Mac tests restored.
