Details

On my home computer, I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times several
versions of Mozilla now (0.9.6 - 0.9.8, main builds) that refuse to work when I
type in a URL and hit [Return] of try to click on the 'Search' button to the
right. I will attempt to take my work prefs.js file home and replace my home
file to see if that fixes the problem, but so far, all attempts to fix this by
myself have been futile. I'm guessing this is related to some type of preference
set up I have at home versus here at work, but no error is being returned nor am
I able to find existing bug reports or documentation on this problem yet.

Also, all of my Bookmarks do work just fine on my home install of Mozilla 0.9.8,
so I know this is in no way related to a proxy or network connectivity set up issue.
Reporter: have you tried this lately with a current build?
The problem seems to have been related to either my prefs.js file, or a registry
setting. I have completely uninstalled all copies of Mozilla on my home computer
and copied my work version of prefs.js to my home computer, and now everything
seems to be ok. I am currently running Mozilla 1.0 RC1 without problems. Closing
