2002030708 trunk for MacOS9.x and 0304 build, too.
Sometimes, Mozilla does not show the autocompletion drop down list of URL while
typing a frequently visited URL in Open Web Location dialog. I am not sure what
the condition for this failure to happen.
When this happens, clicking Open results in a crash.

Summary: Crash when Open Web Location fail to show Autocomplete drop down list for a URL. → Crash when Open Web Location fail to show Autocomplete drop down list for a URL.
One instance of this autocompletion failure is bug 95595.
For Ex.
Load a long Bugzilla bug list that takes a while to complete. In another window,
load the URL;
http://www.pluto.dti.ne.jp/~mor97512/ .
This page loads slowly, and runs Javascript, too.
Then, Open Web Location, and try typing a URL you frequently visit , which ends
with "/" so that there are a few subdirectries in the invisible list.
If autocompletion drop down fails to show, hitting Open usually crashes.
TB4018205X is the TalkBack ID for the crash in Ex. above.

This bug sounds similar to a bug I see. Every once in a while if I type one
letter
in the Firebird google search bar I get a crash. Like this bug, it does not
show the drop down list. I am using 0.6.1 (I thought this was fixed in 0.6.1).
This bug is targeted at a Mac classic platform/OS, which is no longer supported
by mozilla.org. Please re-target it to another platform/OS if this bug applies
there as well or resolve this bug.

I will resolve this bug as WONTFIX in four weeks if no action has been taken.

Allen, would you say this problem is gone? Or, do you still see it?
This could be a dupe of Bug 136388 which was fixed

Note:
* Bug 89373, and older bug, had similar stack
* reporter is no longer reachable)
Comment 5 (Allen) was DEC Alpha - and hasn't seen the problem for a long time.
