User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:48.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/48.0 Build ID: 20160728204513 Steps to reproduce: 0) Open up Firefox 48 (started happening in this version) 1) Put cursor into the location bar 2) Type in some text known to match history and/or bookmarks Actual results: Sometimes the results are shown. Sometimes they're not shown. While results are not shown, they exist and can be accessed by hitting the down arrow key. Expected results: See the awesome bar autocompletion results.
Does this reproduce in Safe mode too? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Are results usually coming fast or is there large lag on them? Please attach a log from about:support page.
Also, same question as in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1299126#c1

What does "not shown" mean exactly? Is the popup not even shown? Is it shown but it's empty? Are there problems with other popups/menus/comboboxes in Firefox chrome (like the search bar)?
Priority: -- → P2
"not shown" means the window rendering doesn't change at all (beside the text in the location bar changing). So no "popup." I don't really use the search bar, so can't say.
Could you please try reproducing the problem with other popups in Firefox chrome, like the search bar, so we can maybe narrow down the cause?
Could you please answer comment 2 also?
