Can be reproduced on:

Thunderbird 45.2, openSUSE 42.1 x64, KDE 5 Plasma desktop.

Thunderbird 45.2, Ubuntu 16.04 x64, Unity dekstop.

However, if I didn't start Thunderbird before clicking email links, the new window will get focus.

Guo,

Are you suggesting this didn't happen in version 38?
Does it happen in version 52?

I have this problem in 45.2. I think I don't have it in version 38 or earlier. Also, I don't have it in new version 52. Maybe it should be marked as fixed or invalid now.
