User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.92 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

I sent a message to proxad.online.hebergement.support (news.free.fr) with thunderbird 45.2.0
news://news.free.fr:119/proxad.online.hebergement.support


Actual results:

I got a charset encoding error : Erreur avec les groupes (NNTP) : 441 437 UTF-8 charset is not allowed in group proxad.online.hebergement.support


Expected results:

The only occidental charset thunderbird 45.2.0 offers me to use is Windows-1252 and i can't find or use iso 8859-1 anywhere, so i get that error.

Not sure where you intended to place " 441 437 UTF-8 charset is not allowed" but crash signature definitely wouldn't be the place.
