I see two occurrences in the man page, which suggest to use "-t u,u,u".
Should those be changed, too?
Maybe to use "-t ,," (neutral trust flags) ?

Note we usually set a "review ?" (plus the email address of the requested reviewer) to get their attention.

It might be good to update the help output produced by the certutil program to also clarify that u cannot be given as input.
