OS: Unspecified → Windows 7
Hardware: Unspecified → x86_64
NOT reproducible with en-US SeaMonkey 2.40 final Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:43.0) from official download page, Gecko/20100101 Firefox/ 43.0 Build 20160120202951, (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit. NOT reproducible with official en-US SeaMonkey 2.48a1 (NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:51.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/51.0 Build 20160804000913 (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit @Reporter: a) Any interesting message from Error Console? b) Your result with Safe mode without add-ons? c) your result with newly created User Profile?
Flags: needinfo?(lahmbi56789)
REPRODUCIBLE with en-US SeaMonkey 2.40 final Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:43.0) from official download page, Gecko/20100101 Firefox/ 43.0 Build 20160120202951, (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit and newly created user profile: 1. c): reporducible d) Might be some "HTML5-Player Only" problem? A workaround does exist, but currently I can't remember what it was.

Summary: vimeo video not working in Seamonkey → vimeo videos do not show player
Ok, I'm glad that you could reproduce it. I should have mentioned, too, that I don't have Flash installed. It probabaly doesn't matter, but I'm running on intel HD 4000 Graphics.
Rainer, does setting useragent.general.override to a Firefox UA give you the player? If yes, it's bad browser sniffing by the website (again).

(In reply to rsx11m from comment #5) > Rainer, does setting useragent.general.override Unfortunately I haven't a clue how to proceed such a test.

I can reproduce. I could bring the player up by toggling `full-screen-api.enabled` to `true`. But this was not enough, once the player was loaded, Vimeo complained: "This video can’t be played with your current setup." From there, I am not sure what needs to be done. I tried toggling `media.fragmented-mp4.gmp.enabled` to `true`, which stopped the Video error message, but clicking play causes the whole browser to crash, with the following output at the console: I/SampleTable(20960): There are reordered frames present.
Worked out of the box for me with a local en-US 2.47 x64 build: User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:50.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/50.0 SeaMonkey/2.47 Build identifier: 20161003100412 Adblock+ and Noscript installed. vimeo and its cdn temporary whitelisted. There were a lot of changes between 2.40 and 2.46 in the html5 support area. I suuggest trying Adrians unoficial 2.46 until the offiicial one arrives: https://l10n.mozilla-community.org/~akalla/unofficial/seamonkey/nightly/latest-comm-release-windows32/ Back up your profile if you eventually want to go back to 2.40.
Today NOT reproducible with unofficial en-US SeaMonkey 2.49a1 (NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 Build 20160930004545 (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 with newly created User Profile. e) Something changed on vimeo? Something fixed in SM? I will test SM 2.40 again.
e): Still REPRODUCIBLE with en-US SeaMonkey 2.40 final Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:43.0) from official download page, Gecko/20100101 Firefox/ 43.0 Build 20160120202951, (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit Using Add-On “User Agent Switcher” for a user String “User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 SeaMonkey/2.49a1 Build identifier: 20160120202951)” does not heal the problem for SeaMonkey/2.40 Build 20160120202951 and Test-User-Profile from comment #9 What ever this might mean.

Might be some temporary issue. Let me check recently I avail <a href="https://www.namobot.com/coupon/vimeo">discount</a> for Vimeo pro.

The video works fine with SeaMonkey 2.53.1. Is this still a problem with 2.49.5 or a later version?

Flags: needinfo?(lahmbi56789)

No longer reproducible with unzipped unofficial (by wg9s) en-US SeaMonkey 2.53 (NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0 Build 20190801120006 (Default Classic Theme, German Language Pack active) on German WIN7 64bit

WFM for now!

@Reporter: Please feel free to reopen this Bug if you still can reproduce the problem with a current SeaMonkey 2.53
