no progress from 0.9.8 to 0.9.9 concerning arabic display with mac os X, some letters are not properly identified, a "alif" often replaces other letters.
Could you attach a screen shot? Assigning to ftang

you really need to point out the problem for us. I don't read arabic at all. I can tell differences AFTER you point out the problem but I lack of ability to spot the problem by myself.
I think smontagu fix the problem now. mark it as fixed. please reopen if it is still an issue.
