Details

The preview component for recipes does not consistently use the same driver object when previewing a recipe, which causes issues because only one of the driver objects it uses is set to testing mode. It should create a single driver and use it throughout the lifetime of the component.
I can't replicate this issue anymore, and I can't find the commit that fixed it; the code seems to be working since before this bug was filed. I must've been mistaken somehow.
