Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:50.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/50.0
Build ID: 20160915004005

Steps to reproduce:

1. I start Firefox and I'm using restored tabs from a previous session. I'm using a master password, but the prompt hasn't been asked yet.
2. I open a page that needs a certificate to log on.

Actual results:

3. The certificate is not provided.

In another scenario, where I first open a page that requires a password, the master password prompt is triggered. If I enter the correct password and continue to the certificate protected page, the certificate is loaded without problems.

Expected results:

The master password popup should open (like it does if I load a page where I need password to log in) and after I enter correct credentials the site should get my certificate.

In previous 51.0a2 I haven't noticed this behaviour any more. However, in todays 51.0a2 (2016-10-10) (32-bit) it happened again. The certificate window didn't trigger the password prompt, so the certificate wasn't presented to the website.
