 - Use the menu Insert|Characters and Symbols... to open
   the corresponding dialog
 - Click on the Common Symbols radio button
 - Note that the list of symbols does not include the Euro currency symbol

Not sure where to put it -- after Yen symbol and other monetary symbols in 
"Symbol" category seemed good.

well, OK, but why add just x20ac? There are lots of symbols, some which make
more sense in some languages than in others. The character-based lists will
make zero sense in Japanese or Chinese.

sr=dveditz for this small improvement, but this whole dialog needs to be
re-thought. Instead of hardcoded lists these should be localizable and/or
user-customizable.
