Messages from Deutsche Bahn have worked OK for me in the past, although it's been a while since I bought an online ticket.
Please attach the full message here for inspection and also try with add-ons disabled (see help menu). Maybe you have an add-on which tries to display the PDF inline.

The reporter sent me the message from Deutsche Bahn in a private message.
In TB 45.3 and TB 52 Daily the message displays perfectly (like I remember them). The problem is that the message is multipart/mixed and the PDF attachment is the first part. Those German rail people don't know how to put a message together.
I don't know what's happening on the reporter's machine since I can't reproduce the problem. Also, since TB is frequently used in Germany and people buy online rail tickets, I think we would have heard about a problem earlier.
All I can suggest to the reporter is to start TB with a new profile and see whether the problem persists.

This works for me. I haven't heard back from the reporter although he was so keen to get this resolved that he even sent me a private message. So I'm closing this now.
