+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1288760 +++

In bug 1288760, 5 patches were landed. The first one fixed the main issue in that bug, and the other 4 were to fix a secondary issues observed (quoting from bug 1288760 comment 14): "However, I'm still seeing issues where it doesn't actually appear at the expected drop location."

Those 4 additional patches were backed out as they caused a regression (bug 1300421). This bug is a follow-up to bug 1288760 to get those patches relanded.
