User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0 SeaMonkey/2.46 Build identifier: 20161213183751 I can't reproduce this. I repeated the steps above on my Exchange inbox that I use via IMAP. Searched the Inbox remotely including all subfolders, which are pretty many, some of them hundreds of MB in size. Didn't get any disconnect or password dialog.
Currently I had two host: 1) Seamonkey 2.46 on Ubuntu 16.04 on a DOWN:100 Mbps, UP:100 Mbps connection 2) Seamonkey 2.46 on Ubuntu 16.04 on a DOWN:7 Mbps, UP:0.6 Mbps connection I got the disconnection only using 2) The IMAP folder where I can always reproduce the disconnection has 49881 messages and 894 MB The same disconnection error happen moving the whole folder

NOT reproducible with installation of unofficial (by wg9s) De SeaMonkey 2.53.5 beta 1 pre Mozilla/5.0 (NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0 Build 20200727210001 (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit and IMAP Inbox 12000 veryshort mails, 197 MB.

Also not reproducible when I search whole IMAP account (inbox, sent, ...). Finds strings in mail body in "Sent" box reliably.

noted now: after the search on my main account, I got the error accessing to my 3th account, but with indication of the IMAP server error of the main account, while accessing to main account IMAP server work

I'll check if it is always reproducible

Hm, so "work" meant "I'm working on it", not short formfo "works"?

I had three IMAP accounts, say 1, 2, 3.
In account 1 I had a folder with 11489 mails, sized 140 MB.
In account 2 I had a folder with 49882 mails, sized 894 MB.
Will search for a mail with a text in body in folders of account 1, then check for access to InBox in all three accounts.
Will search for a mail with a text in body in folders of account 2, then check for access to InBox in all three accounts.
and report here the results. Account 1 IMAP server is slow, sorry

search on account 2 ended, and all thress Inbox are accessible.
seach on account 1 ongoing, very slow
I'm using the PC behind ADSL with 8 MB downlink and 0.7 uplink

search ended, this time all three inbox are accessible.
Will re-test on next days
