User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:50.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/50.0
Build ID: 20160929120120

Steps to reproduce:

Watch html5 videos and switch to fullscreen (mostly on youtube, but problem is also reproduceable on other websites)

Actual results:

When switching videos to fullscreen, firefox sometimes (5-10%) hangs. The window stays half-repainted, but firefox still reacts on user input (it is still possible to exit fullscreen mode by pressing the escape key).

However even after escaping fullscreen mode, firefox doesn't repaint at all.
When closing the crash manager appears after a few seconds:

E10s was enabled, as were OpenGL layers.

Expected results:

fullscreen mode should work as it did with pre 50-beta builds.

Could not reproduce on Beta 50.0b1 and Beta 50.0b4. However I'm moving this to a component so relevant people to be involved.

@Clements, could you find a regression range for this? You can use mozregression tool (http://mozilla.github.io/mozregression/).
Component: Untriaged → Audio/Video
Product: Firefox → Core
Component: Audio/Video → Graphics
According to the stacktraces it seems OpenGL related, so layer acceleration has to be enabled.
Sorry, currently I am not able to bisect the regression myself.
Clemmens, could you please attach the contents of your about:support page?

I was able to create a screencast if the issue starting directly after FF's UI was switched to fullscreen and stopped to react properly: https://youtu.be/3qlfMmtLQgo
