+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1278456 +++ https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1278456#c13 pointed out that the HAL requirement seems obsolete. I agree. I don't know what this was for in the past, but distributions no longer ship HAL and I don't think we use it. Having it on the system requirements page is just confusing.

I don't know the appropriate process here. Gerry, would you be able to remove this line from https://www-dev.allizom.org/en-US/firefox/51.0a2/system-requirements/ please? I don't see a similar page for 52.0a1, so I guess this is the most upstream page. Is it reasonable to assume that modifications to that page will propagate to future versions?
