User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0 Build ID: 20160922113459 Steps to reproduce: Sometimes, when I start typing (anywhere, could be a text area or the URL bar), accents show up before some characters. E.g. when I press "r", or "l", "`r" or "`l" appear instead. When this happens, it stays in this condition for the 2 or 3 affected keys until I close all Firefox windows. I am unsure as to what is the cause, but it seems to happen after I suspend the computer, or when opening new tabs/private windows, or when returning focus to the window. However, it does not always happen when I try to reproduce. I have a Portuguese (PT) keyboard, but an English operating system, if it matters. Actual results: Some key presses added accents that were not meant to be typed, such as "`r" whenever the R key is pressed. Expected results: Pressing a key should have displayed only the corresponding character.

Hi Andre, Thanks for the bug report. I wanted to reproduce the issue, but unfortunately I don't have a PT keyboard. However I tried with a EN keyboard and I could not reproduce it. A pattern for the issue would be of value, if you can find it.

Summary: Accents showing up when typing other characters → Accents showing up when typing other characters (PT keyboard)
NI Andre for comment 1 :)
It's not clear how we move this forward without STR or more information. I am close this as IMCOMPLETE but do feel free to reopen if there's more information to share. Thanks.
