(Keywords: flashplayer, regression, Whiteboard: [FLASH-4186363])

STR:
1. Watch the Flash video at http://www.cc.com/video-clips/bcgxga/the-meltdown-with-jonah-and-kumail-made-up-numbers

(If you see that the preroll ad is 1/4 the expected size, that is a different problem: Flash content-scaling bug 1302490.)

RESULT:
The audio plays but the Flash video is white. The Flash video plays correctly in Chrome and Edge.

I can reproduce this problem in pre-release Firefox versions 50-52, but not Release 49. However, I don't think this is a regression. When I tried to bisect using mozregression, older Firefox versions still reproduced the white video (even if I configured mozregression to use my test profile that plays the Flash video correctly in Firefox 49).

I have Flash version 23.0.0.181 on Windows 10.
Jeromie, this white video bug is a regression in Flash version 23.0.0.162, not Firefox. The previous Flash version, 22.0.0.209 (Released 7/12/2016), plays the video correctly.

Forcing DisableHardwareAcceleration=1 in Flash's mms.cfg did not fix the white video problem.

Here is my Windows laptop's GPU information from Firefox's about:support page. I don't know if the suspicious "(#0): CP+[GFX1]: Potential driver version mismatch ignored due to missing DLLs 0.0.0.0 and 0.0.0.0" error message below is related or not.

I am running 64-bit Windows 10 Home Insider Preview version 1607 (OS Build 14931.1000) from the Windows Insider "Slow Ring", if that matters, though the white video bug affects both 32-bit and 64-bit Firefox.
Thanks. This is FLASH-4186363. I saw a similar Win10 specific issue come through late last week. I'll let you know when we have a beta that resolves it.

These Flash videos now play correctly for me with Flash 23.0.0.207 and Flash Beta 24.0.0.154 on Firefox 50 and Nightly 53. This bug was a regression in Flash 23.0.0.162.
