the only thing that I don't see in the patch to be installed is the default
prefs for mdn (mdn.js) but maybe they are automatically installed due to an
existing rule!
Yes, they are. See the following from packager-win, line 291 - 295:
; all the pref files must be part of base
; to prevent migration bugs
