User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0 Build ID: 20160922113459 Steps to reproduce: After upgrading to Firefox 49.0.1, all too frequently when scrolling down a webpage the display "streaks" vertically, for the lack a more technical term. This did not happen with 48.x.x. It does not happen using Chrome or when scrolling through long documents on my PC, so I'm inclined to initially rule out a hardware problem. I'm running Windows 7, Lenovo T60, 2GB. This problem is not limited to just one website; it happens on practically all. Actual results: See above. See attached capture. Expected results: It shouldn't streak!

Thanks to all who have responded to this, albeit some of the references were a bit meaningless to one not familiar Firefox internals. Turning off hardware acceleration seems to have cleared up the problem. Apparently, a number of people have experienced this problem, but surprisingly, in my attempts to search for this problem before sending in a problem report, I got no hits with my search criteria.
You don't need to disable completely the HWA, just use the workaround here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1304360#c9
