The browser skips over the image enter_clr.gif and just displays 'enter_clr'
where the image should be - renders fine in Communicator 4.61 so image is
present.

Bug also occurs in 1999-09-01-09-M10 build on Windows NT and in Aug.31 build
on Sun/Solaris 2.6/sparc, marking it cross-platform.

Possibly an image library problem.
Status: NEW → ASSIGNED
Target Milestone: M14
This has something to do with bug 1994. It seems that if there's no inline alt
text for a broken image the first part of the filename gets displayed.
Adding IMG genie to CC: list.

Component: ImageLib → Necko

Weird. If you download the image separately, and then point your page to that
instead of the remote file, it works fine. But when the remote file is tried,
it fails (and so correctly displays the alt text/filename).

I'm reassigning this to Necko, since it would seem from the above that this is
some sort of netlib type problem.

Nice testcase, by the way.
Seems to work with current build (12-04-99) od linux.
Bulk move of all Necko (to be deleted component) bugs to new Networking

component.

It seems to work on Win98 AppRunner build 1999121408 too.

viewtronix@easynet.co.uk: As the original reporter could you check that the
behaviour you reported has indeed been fixed? Cheers.
Bulk moving [testcase] code to new testcase keyword. Sorry for the spam!

This one still looks fixed to me, how long do we want to wait for the answer of
viewtronix@easynet.co.uk ? Should be marked fixed.
per andreas, marking as fixed.
